Putting the show together

Today we started to put the show together. It was exciting to see everyone else's pieces and what they had done.

I realised that within our performance there are a lot of different opinions and outlooks on WWI, which will make it very interesting for an audience to watch. I like how we have combined two groups together, for example, the couples being present on stage during a section from the soldiers piece. It brings the whole thing together and makes it look visually interesting.

I feel as if the women's sections could be more emotional but I like the idea of using the soldiers during our pieces. I think it makes it clearer for the audience and, for me, it gives me something to think about during the performance.

In our box section we put our boxes on top of one of the soldiers lying on the floor. I thought this looked interesting but I feel that it would be more emotional and poignant if it was just us. The soldiers take away the boxes and we put the jackets over them and they slip out from under them. This looks interesting and emotional.

I like what we have so far and am exited to develop it even further.
